Proposition 319
Prohibits the government from using traffic photo enforcement systems and red light cameras without voter approval. Right now, cities and towns across the state have implemented or are implementing red light cameras to monitor traffic. With recent security and transparency concerns, this measure would simply require cities and towns to receive voter approval to implement red light cameras, helping prevent unnecessary government surveillance.
- YES
- A YES vote allows voters to have a say in red light cameras and government surveillance.
- NO
- A NO vote allows cities and towns to continue implementing red light cameras and surveillance programs without receiving input from the voters.
Keep Arizona Blue Student Coalition recommends voting YES on Proposition 319 in Arizona.
